Hello! This is Tom, and Jaime. We currently reside in New Jersey. We have 3 beautiful Boerboels by the names of Dopper Job, Proffer Scarlett, and Diva. All of our dogs live in our home with us as family members. All of our dogs are Penn Hip Certified and properly registered with the AKC Foundation Stock Service Program. We believe in providing our dogs with an all natural healthy balanced diet. Maintaining their health also requires proper exercise and training. We take training our dogs very seriously because a Boerboel is a very intelligent and strong dog. We at Power Boerboels do not breed for looks. We are focusing our breeding program on health, and temperament. Conformation is secondary to us. Of course, every breeder wants beautiful looking pups to be proud of we do too. However, Genotype is our first concern, and Phenotype is our second. As long as we can provide pups with a stable temperament, good instinct, strong work ethic, and exceptional health I feel we have succeeded.

We are very selective when it comes to breeding Boerboels. We feel that breeding is a combination of both Art and Science. You must research the specific dog, seek their good qualities as well as their bad and then embrace them. Then you must find the perfect mate for the dog by doing the same. Just because you breed two good dogs together does not always guarantee superb pups. When you take two great specimens and breed them to produce one or two good qualities that they carry, scientifically you will always loose a quality and gain some too. It may be slight or it may be a great loss. That is why determining which dogs to mate requires selections weighed on many different levels.
